Week 63: Socorro Ward, El Paso, Texas

Hey! So I'm in El Paso now!

I said goodbye to all my homie members in Las Cruces and lots of them gave me gifts which was so nice! Paul and Sophia had us over for a huge Chinese dinner! It was so good and they were so nice! They have since emailed me!! I was ready to head out though, I needed a fresh start, cause new beginnings are fun!

I'm with Sister Baxter my MTC companion and Sister Long who leaves December 5th.

It's been awesome so far, and they are way more organized than I am which helps my inorganization. I'm learning a lot and they are both good teachers so it helps what I need to improve on.

The members here are so awesome! They are so willing to help and they are so nice.

I told the bishop that I could talk whenever he liked and so I was asked to bear my testimony my first Sunday there.

We share the ward with a set of elders and sometimes we have dinners with them at members houses. There's this little boy Moronito and he's like 4 or 5 and he did a push up competition with one of the elders. It was hilarious.

Thanksgiving was good, we went to the El paso Thanksgiving parade and it was fun watching. This one guy was preaching from a different faith and he was wearing a trench coat and a speaker and he was like" come to Jesus" then pointed at us said, "the real Jesús!" It was hilarious. We helped clean up after.

Our Thanksgiving dinner was good. Our member gave us a whole homemade apple pie to take home.

Love yall! I feel very grateful right now for God giving me new experiences.

I love you all!
