The Best Last Week!
The time has come. I drive up tomorrow to Albuquerque and go to the temple Wednesday, then have departing interviews and various activities. Then Thursday I fly home.
This week was great though!!
Monday night we did exchanges and I went with Sister Ivie. She is so kind. We had a really good lesson with Esteban.
We met with our friends Tysha, Maron, and Matthew and tried to teach them the restoration. They shared a lot and our little 2 year old friend, Dante, came with his mom. He stuck his hand in the kitty litter right before we left ha ha.
We met with a member and she showed us this indexing app called get involved! It's seems super cool! I can't check it out right now, but you can do it really fast.
We also met with this member who has her own massage therapy room in her house! There is just a relaxed vibe in the house. I felt very peaceful after being in her house.
Found our friend David from Facebook. He is pretty cool and we taught the restoration and it was awesome! Hopefully he progresses.
We got the Galdamez family's baptism all planned and they decided they wanteddifferent people to baptize every member in the family.
Monica made lunch for us and she was showing us pictures of when her husband Cesar had hair. Haha
Felt prompted to visit one of our friends, had a awesome lesson with his wife. Love promptings
We went over the Galdamez house and it was so cool! They were sharing the gospel with Monica's mom! We taught her family history and she loves going on family search.
The Galdamez baptism was the most spiritual baptism I've been to. They were so excited about it the night before. Cesar went first and it was such a special moment. Before and after he was baptized he was crying and hugged the person who baptized him after.
I know that it was such a special day for them. We talked about the restoration while they changed. I felt the spirit so strongly. It's all true, it's all so amazing.
The ward did so well welcoming them. It was amazing! Our mission president was there and he said it was a great model for what a baptism should look like.
I sang in church yesterday and we got pictures with friends. It is seriously such a special ward. The best ward ever.
We had lunch with the Bishop's wife and kids and for dinner we went over to the Galdamez family house.
Cesar read us his testimony and I cried. Monica and Cesar walked us both out and Monica asked to pray over us. We were all basically crying. They were very grateful for us and we said the same. I love them with my whole heart. I've only known them for basically a month, but I've felt like I've known them forever. It's crazy how God blesses us. I feel so richly blessed for my mission. I love the lord. I love the people I've served. I love my companions.
It was a little hard for missionary work last night cause of the super bowl haha. We ended up calling this guy on Facebook and teaching him the restoration. I started getting emotional cause I realized that I have a strong testimony now. Right when I feel like I have everything together, I'm going home haha.
I know that this Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is truly Christ's church. I know Jesus Christ lives and is here to help heal and give us mercy. I know the Book of Mormon brings me closer to Christ. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet of God.
I love you all. I'm grateful for your support.
Signing out,
Sister Crofts
