Week 25: Dona Ana and Las Colinas Wards, Las Cruces, NM

 Hey!! Zone Conference!

We had a lot of meetings this week, but they were good.

I had a really good interview with my mission president. He really talked about how we need to focus on Jesus Christ.  Put him at the center of our lives and everything will turn out how it needs to, and we will be who we need to be.

We shared that message with some less active members and the spirit was SO strong. Jesus Christ brings the spirit. As we are representatives of Christ and take his name upon us, that brings power.

We also had a baptism! It's for this super awesome guy, Matt. He's one of the friends of a member in our new ward, Las Colinas. He basically knew everything before he met the Missionaries because his friends taught him it. He is so fire!!! It's so amazing how God prepares people.

To be honest, I have been feeling a bit down lately. It happens sometimes. But I know from my past that God will help me get through it. He can help all of us. I'm so grateful to be a missionary and to have amazing people in my life. I am meant to be where I am, even when it feels like I'm not sometimes. I love you all and also, the Book of Mormon is awesome. If you have not yet read it, read it! And if you have, read it again! I can promise you that God will bless you

Week 24: Dona Ana and Las Colinas Wards, Las Cruces, NM

Hey! This week was good, a bit hard because people like to ignore us, but that's part of missionary life sometimes. I really realized the importance of members this week though. Every member has their own awesome spirit and testimony that I love, and our friends could definitely use it.

Funniest part of the week, this 12 year old boy gave a talk in sacrament meeting on the law of chastity. I was surprised more people weren't laughing. But he was a champ and did it without smiling or laughing.

Something I have loved learning about this week is the Anti Nephi Lehis. They are such an example to everyone. They really show that member or non member, Jesus can change us and make us new. It doesn't matter if we have traditions we are used to, addictions, anything, Christ can make us better and one with him and others. It's one of my favorite stories.

Love y'all

Week 23: Dona Ana and Las Colinas Wards, Las Cruces, NM

 Happy Valentine's day!!!!

Love y'all!

A great thing this week was our lesson with Daveed! He's a member's boyfriend and he is so cool and ready to learn. The spirit was really cool when we talked about Joseph Smith's first vision. He was sick so we couldn't have another lesson with him, but people came by and gave him a blessing. He was sad to not meet with us! He's awesome.

My companion, Sister Greenfield, did a karaoke off and she sang Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, while Robert sang some country song. He wouldn't let us leave unless one of us sang--we laughed a lot. I love the weird people in the mission.

Matt, who is one date, is so excited to be baptized in two weeks and was so prepared, he might know more than me! Haha jk but it's exciting to see him giddy about getting baptized.

What's really so important though is the members reaching out and showing love. I know for me if I was joining the church, I probably wouldn't if people didn't reach out to me.

Also, there has been a big emphasis of the book of Mormon in the mission.  Often, we forget how important it is, but it really helps us stay strong in the gospel and know our Savior. I know it's good and from God and helps us feel truth and light. I know it can and will help all those that honestly search for help.

I challenge you all to read the book of Mormon every day this week. If you haven't read it in a while or at all, what's the harm in trying it out? I can promise if will bless you all!

Love you guys so much, and more importantly God loves you infinitely

Love sis Crofts

Week 22: Dona Ana and Las Colinas Wards, Las Cruces, NM

Transfer 4!

Hey ya'lll! It actually snowed this week! Which is so rare, took a picture by it.

I have a new companion Sister Greenfield, and am now covering two Ward's!

It's a little overwhelming sometimes, but it's nice having a bigger teaching pool.

Sorry I don't have a lot of time to write this week, but I'm grateful for Jesus Christ, I know he lives and I'm glad that I'm learning more about him.

Love you!
