Week 3--MTC

Hey guys!! This week was awesome!

Saturday, I gave a talk at church about God and His nature and it went well. There was a testimony meeting that night and there was a lot of crying and some companion bonding hahaha.

We play volleyball every day with my district and it's really fun and we aren't that good but have a good time. We're getting better though haha. One time we played with us four sisters against the 6 elders and we beat them by a lot. It was awesome.

Tuesday, Elder Gong came and gave a devotional and it was really good! I have been praying a lot recently for help to have more faith in God and do what He wants me to do and his devotional answered my prayers. He talked about how we need to not focus on the perfections of the world and what the world wants us to be. We might find that there is a huge gap between who we want to be and who we are. The only way we can be perfected is through Christ. Christ is the only way we can progress. We can be perfected through him. I just though it was so good. Also he shook everyone's hand which was very sweet. I can tell he loves us all so much.

I've gained more confidence in my testimony which is good and more in teaching too. Although I still have a longgggg way to go, I have learned some good foundation skills to be a good missionary--now I just have to practice.

I love my district. We have a lot of laughs and we have grown so close.  At first it was rough cause we didn't really know each other, but then we started doing everything together and now we are like family. I love them all so much and they are hilarious.  The elders make the weirdest videos and say the funniest things. One time two elders were late for class and then one of them was booking it across the lawn. We were like where is his companion? But then he came running out of nowhere past the window and it was just really funny. We all have the same sense of humor which helps and we are pretty alike. I'm going to miss them.

Food at the MTC is not the best, but some days are better than others.

I'm scared to leave for Albuquerque Monday, but I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be.  I'm excited for something new.

I know God is good and believe that Christ's gospel fills the holes and needs in our life. Love you all and am grateful for your support ❤

Week 2: MTC

I made it to the MTC!

My family and I got up early in the morning Wednesday to drop me off at the airport to fly to SLC. That day was very busy! We had a good devotional about the character of Christ and how we need to be looking outwards to serve others as He did.

My companion is nice and we get along well. My district is pretty spiritual which is cool, too. We were not very close at first, but we are starting to become closer, which is awesome.

We have just been mock teaching people in our district, which has been good practice for teaching real investigators.

The MTC food is not my fave, but it's been fun playing volleyball with my district for our workout time.

It has been stressful being here, but I'm hoping to learn and grow a lot, and I believe that Christ can help me do that if I put the effort in.

I love you all and I am grateful for your emails!

Week 1--Home MTC

I am officially a missionary!!

When I first got set apart it felt very strange for the first few days, but as I have been praying for help, God has been really helping me enjoy the MTC. My district and my companion are really nice, and I love my teachers. I have been learning so much by going back to the basics of the gospel.
It is kinda scary teaching people sometimes but I am excited to do it more and get better at it.
I have felt the spirit a lot this week and I am excited to go to the actual MTC tomorrow!
Besides that I have mainly been home this week staring at a screen lol.

That's it for me
